Please go to the support web site to download release notes. - The next set of service packs will be released on October 20, 2009. These will be service pack 7 for X1 and service pack 19 for X+.
- Safari 4.0 on Mac OS 10.4 and Mac OS 10.5
Text: Safari 4.0 on Mac OS 10.4 and Mac OS 10.5 will be certified as a client platform for Maconomy Portal from the following service packs: Maconomy X1 Service Pack 6 Maconomy X+ Service Pack 18 The certification of Safari 4.0 for Maconomy X is still in testing. Some useful advice when using the Maconomy Portal: When using the Maconomy Portal one may sometimes encounter errors related to applets or portal components not fully loading. These errors typically happen if you click on buttons or links on a web page, while it is in the process of being loaded. In these situations the applets or portal components contained in the web page may not function correctly and may encounter errors. This has always been the case, but the release of the new Java plug-in introduced by Java 1.6 update 10 has markedly increased the risk of these errors occuring. The error messages typically reported by applets are: - NotLoggedInException: Error opening Java component, no login context found
- java.lang.NullPointerException: component argument pData
- java.lang.SecurityException: this KeyboardFocusManager is not installed in the current thread's context
- java.lang.InternalError: couldn't create component peer
A way to avoid these errors is to let the web page load before clicking any buttons or links. Typically this means waiting for the browser progress indicator to indicate that the complete web page has been loaded and first then click on buttons, links etc. As new TPU's are released, Maconomy adds workarounds for errors like the ones described above. So to minimize the impact of these errors, use the latest TPU if possible. As the nature of these errors depends on the exact timing of the user interaction and other events, Maconomy cannot guarantee that all situations where the errors occur have been worked around. |
