Respected analyst David Hofferberth visited Maconomy HQ and talked about the current state of ERP use in the professional services organization market (PSO), and the benefits and opportunities it presents.
David pointed out how today many PSOs still use different applications in different departments but acknowledged such a scenario is not sustainable in the long run. Organizations should adopt one integrated solution, with Financials at its core and with extensive support for areas such as project and service delivery, human capital, client relationship and business intelligence.
Among the important benefits PSOs can achieve with ERP:
- Improve information visibility
- Streamline opportunity management
- Increase project and service productivity
- Enhance collaboration
- Improve financial management and governance
- Reduce IT costs
- Align people, process and capital
- Empower decision makers
